Programs & National Skill Initiatives
Empowering youth through skills, certification & employment.
Swanirbhar works with industry, training partners, government initiatives and implementation agencies to create pathways from learning to livelihood — through prior-learning certification, job-ready skilling and stipended apprenticeships.
What we deliver
Three connected routes to a livelihood.
Each route is NSQF-aligned, industry-recognized and designed backwards from a measurable employment outcome — not a certificate on paper.
Certify the skills people already have
- NSQF-aligned skill assessment
- Industry-recognized certification
- Better employability & wage opportunities
Industry-aligned, job-ready training
- Job-ready, project-based curriculum
- Entrepreneurship pathways
- Digital & workplace skills
Earn while you learn, on the job
- Real industry exposure & stipend
- Hands-on, supervised experience
- Employment-linked opportunities
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Certify the skills India's workers already have.
Millions of workers are skilled but uncertified. RPL formally assesses and certifies that experience — unlocking better jobs, wages and mobility.
- 01
Mobilization
Candidates are identified and counselled in their own districts.
- 02
Skill Assessment
Existing competencies are assessed against NSQF-aligned standards.
- 03
Gap Training
Short bridge training closes any gaps — only where required.
- 04
Certification
Workers earn a formal, industry-recognized credential.
- 05
Employment
Certified workers progress to better roles, wages and mobility.
Two ways we deliver RPL
RPL Camps
Assessment camps run where workers of a sector already gather — industrial hubs and traditional clusters — so existing workers get certified close to home.
At the employer's premises
On-site assessment delivered directly at an employer's workplace, certifying an existing workforce without disrupting day-to-day operations.
Why RPL matters
Recognition of existing, on-the-job skills
Formal, portable certification
Improved employability and bargaining power
A clear path to career advancement

Entrepreneurship Development
From idea to first revenue — finance, operations and go-to-market.

Why these programs matter
Built on national skill-gap research.
Our program design is grounded in the MEPSC Skill Gap Study — a survey of 502 employers and 1,001 young people across the Management, Entrepreneurship and Private Security sectors.
Strong youth demand for these careers
Youth show high willingness to work in Management, Entrepreneurship and Private Security — preferring short-term, practical, apprenticeship-linked training.
Employers still report real skill gaps
Recruiters cite gaps in collaboration, time management, critical thinking and core digital tools (MS Office, Google Suite) among new hires.
Automation is reshaping the work
Employers anticipate medium-to-high automation — up to three-quarters of tasks in some sectors — making digital literacy and continuous upskilling essential.
Practical training wins
Quality of internships and apprenticeships ranks among the top factors youth use to choose a programme — practical exposure drives employability.
Industry-aligned skilling is rising
Demand for management professionals is projected to grow from 2.86M (2024) to 3.52M by 2030; private security from 12.8M to 16.4M over the same period.
A clear mandate for credentials
NSQF-aligned, certified and apprenticeship-linked pathways are repeatedly recommended to close the gap between education and employment.
