FRAMEWORKS & ALIGNMENT

Our work, mapped to national frameworks.

We don't measure impact in isolation. Every Swanirbhar program is designed to move indicators that India already tracks — the Ease of Living Index, the Sustainable Development Goals, and proven incubation models — giving funders and partners a shared, verifiable language for outcomes.

WHY THIS MATTERS

A shared language for impact.

CSR funders, government departments, and grassroots NGOs each ask the same question in different words: what national outcome does this actually move?

Rather than invent our own metrics, we anchor our programs to frameworks the country already uses. That lets a corporate partner report against recognized indicators, lets an implementing NGO see exactly where it fits, and keeps us honest about the outcomes we claim.

FRAMEWORK 01

The Ease of Living Index

A national framework from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs that assesses the liveability of Indian cities across three pillars, 14 categories, and 50 indicators, validated by a citizen perception survey. Scores combine as shown below.

THE MAPPING

Where Swanirbhar fits.

Our programs concentrate on the Economic Ability pillar — opportunity, credit access, and equity — with a direct contribution to Education through digital skills. Each row below is a real Ease of Living indicator and how our work moves it.

FRAMEWORK 03

IIMA EDBIS — Ease of Doing Business in Indian States

EDBIS is an initiative of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (Misra Centre for Financial Markets and Economy) that benchmarks business policy and infrastructure across India's states and union territories. It assesses the state-level laws and policies that foster a favourable business environment — combining business sentiment with trade and production statistics, administrative framework, and policy-implementation data to help companies, investors, and policymakers make informed decisions.

A favourable environment doesn't just help existing firms — it creates quality employment and moves people from informal to formal enterprise. That's where Swanirbhar fits: EDBIS measures the enabling environment for business, and we work on the supply side of it — preparing young people to start, formalize, finance, and grow ventures within it.
